The GE Oil & Gas Annual Meeting is a conference dedicated to showcasing advanced technology solutions for all segments of the oil and gas industry, from production through processing and the formation of hydrocarbon based products. Program highlights include presentations by top oil and gas company executives; seminars on GE's new and emerging technologies; a product fair featuring a broad array of advanced technology solutions; and tours of GE’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and test facilities, in Florence and Massa, where some of the largest and most advanced oil and gas machinery is prepared for installation in projects worldwide.
The 2007 theme "Technology Innovations to Answer Tomorrow’s Global Energy Challenges, Today" focuses on solutions for meeting some of the world's most challenging and urgent production, transportation and processing issues, including enhancing productivity, controlling costs and protecting the environment.
Topics will include: new subsea compression technology; initiatives for improving the efficiency of our installed base; production from non-traditional resources; LNG and gas-to-liquids technology, including dramatically increased unit train sizes to leverage economies of scale; and a range of other subjects of current interest.
